This common merganser family has taken a break and is enjoying the sun on our old paddle boat ramp at our Eagle’s Nest cabin in northeastern Minnesota . Long gone is the paddle boat but the ramp has stayed and serves as stopovers for both merganser and mallard families being raised on the lake.
