A small northern pike has lingered too long on the surface and is now in the talons of a bald eagle. The eagle just happened to be perched in the right spot, high above in an overlooking white spruce that has allowed it to swoop down in one quick motion. Now in a hard bank to the right, the eagle is off to the nest with a lunchtime meal for at least one of its eaglets.
